Agatha Christie, the renowned mystery writer, became the subject of her own real-life mystery when she disappeared for 11 days in December 1926. On the evening of December 3, Christie left her home, and her car was later found abandoned with an expired driving license and clothes inside. The ensuing search, involving over a thousand police officers and countless volunteers, captured international headlines. Christie was eventually discovered staying at a hotel in Harrogate under an assumed name, suffering from amnesia and unable to recall her identity or how she arrived there - or could she? This incident, shrouded in speculation and intrigue, remains one of the most fascinating episodes in literary history.
